Leo Hernandez - (President)
William Smith is this year’s Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Smith is currently a third year student at the University of California Irvine majoring in Biomedical Engineering. On campus, Mr. Smith is also involved with the Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity. He also has a passion for research on wound healing. His goal after graduation is to apply to medical school and become a physician. Mr. Smith’s goal for Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce is to expose the organization to students interested and willing to put in the work to becoming more professional. His mission is to see more students taking advantage of the many opportunities to grow and practice your networking skills that this organization can offer.
William Smith - (Chief Operations Officer)
Louis is a fourth year student at CSUF majoring in Business with concentrations in Marketing and Entertainment/Tourism Management. He began his educational journey at Fullerton College where he graduated with an AA in Business Administration. Louis hopes to work in the sports entertainment industry, own his business in the service industry and also devote his time and money into programs that help kids stay off the streets from which he once benefitted from. Through the OCHYCC, he hopes to help students develop professionally and inspire them to attend the OCHYCC events, which will help them achieve their goals.
Heydi Chamale - (Chief Financial Officer )
Heydi Chamale will be serving as this year’s Chief Financial Officer for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. She is currently a third-year Business Economics student at the University of California, Irvine. Since the beginning of her first year at UCI, Ms. Chamale has been actively involved with the Latino Business Student Association on campus, serving as the Director of Information Technology for the 2015-2016 school year. She is also involved in the Hispanic 100 and Motivating Our Students Through Experience (MOSTE) organizations, both of which have helped her tremendously in terms of professional development and community outreach. Through her academic career, Ms. Chamale has developed a passion for professionalism and the entertainment industry. Upon graduation, she hopes to work in the finance department of a film company. Her personal goal for the Youth Chamber is to mentor members and guide them toward a successful career path. She hopes to develop more of a personal relationship with the members in order to foster the sense of a tight-knit community among college students in the Orange County.
Vanessa Pimentel - (Chief Marketing Officer)
Vanessa Pimentel is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. She is entering her fourth and final year at CSU, Fullerton majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. This year, Ms. Pimentel is also a Marketing Intern for Titan Athletics. On campus, she is the CSUF Latino Business Student Association Director of Fundraising. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a marketing career in the cosmetics or fashion industry and, ultimately, start her own marketing/PR firm. Ms. Pimentel aims to promote the OCHYCC heavily and expose members to the benefits and opportunities that this organization provides.
Karina Ruiz- - (Community Relations Officer)
Karina Ruiz is serving the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce as a Community Relations Co-Officer. Ms. Ruiz is currently a senior at Chapman University, pursuing a double major in Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. She is a member of Gamma Beta Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Societies, University Program Board’s Marketing Committee, as well as Chapman's pep band, "The Pride of Chapman". She aims to pursue an MBA and develop a career in the finance industry. As a CRO, Ms. Ruiz hopes to strengthen the relationships between OC business leaders and members of the OCHYCC, increase member retention rate, and create a welcoming environment where Youth Chamber members can grow professionally.
Lino Jaimes - (Community Outreach Director)
Lino Jaimes is serving the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber Commerce as a Community Relations Co-Officer. Mr. Jaimes is currently a senior at CSU Fullerton pursuing a double major in Finance and Entertainment & Tourism Management. He has a huge passion for helping others and serving the community. In 2012, he represented the Orange County Immigrant Youth United as the high school outreach coordinator where he devoted his time educating and helping AB540 high school students get access to resources that will help them pursue and continue on with their higher education. Mr. Jaimes has been well active with the Latino Business Student Association at CSUF as he served as the Vice-President for the 2015-2016 school year. This year he is also serving with LBSA as the Director of Alumni Relations and the Director of Corporate Relations for the United Latino Students Association. He aims to being part of an entertainment industry after graduation as a financial analyst and continue making an impact within the community. As CRO, his goal is to bring awareness of the OCHYCC to students, professionals and the community. He also wants to increase the number of members this year and creating a sense of familia that will have members come back for more. Mr. Jaimes has grown as a youth leader by being an OCHYCC Member for the past two years and he wants this year's members to be exposed to similar opportunities to grow.
